The Jojic Files (from www.actiontrip.com)
Couldn't resist copying these, because I don't know how many of you would open the site if I just told you to. This guy is a genius, I swear.
People are like remote controls. Exactly like remotes in fact. Really responsive in the beginning, but as time passes, becoming extremely reluctant to do what they are supposed to, or even acknowledge the fact they are supposed to do something (either 'cause they're pissed off or just old).
And exactly like remote controls, we proceed down this path until we become completely filthy, greasy and with all of our buttons broken (from all the pushing of our buttons), at which point they toss us in the trash.
You are a remote control, my friend. Make peace with that fact.

This day started off as one of those days which you just aimlessly wander through. Such days are in abundance in every person's life; it's how years go by in fact. "Carpe diem," seize the day, is an awesome saying; sadly, it's not as often applicable to everyday existence as one would hope.
Think about it though, "How could I seize this Wednesday?" Maybe you are smarter and braver than me and figure out a way to do it. Good luck, man.
I think part of the problem lies in the fact that you almost see life as homework that's not due for at least another two weeks. You completely miss it until the last minute, because of that stupid idea that you "still have plenty of time."
Not all people are like that, but in general, we are. Mortality can largely be contributed to cumulative stupidity. Cumulative stupidity is not the cause but the catalyst.
