Happy (?) New Year

Unusually for me, I've decided to put up a personal post for a change. Hope you sods don't throw things at me.

Hi guys. All four of you. No wait. Seena's there too. All five of you.

Hi. I think I'm high. I'm pretty sure, because I have to keep retyping everything that I put down. Mostly because despite being high I'm anally obsessive about spelling and grammar. But then again, it is the first of January and I am allowed to be a little drunk. And if there's any typos then fuck you for caring.

Now New Years's Eve is supposed to be one of those exciting days where the world changes completely as one day ends and another begins. With sunset we are purged of every stupidity and every regret of the previous year and with sunrise, well, a whole new world and a whole new year is born, and over night, as the magical number changes, we decide that there is still hope for the world.

Well, you drunken sods who purged the last year in alcohol, you seem to have forgotten something. Last night you were drinking and tonight you're drinking and tomorrow you're gonna be drinking and the world is the same every morning.

So why the hell does anyone have to make a big deal about it? And still so many people that I know seem to care. And so because of them and for their sake, I care. It's a big night for them and so I make it a big night for me as well. Oh well.

The last two times were good fun. After 20 years of not being fun, I guess I deserved these two years. This one was another night, with lots of beer and lots of movies and not much else. Oh well. Life had to catch up with me I suppose. There's no escaping such things. Not for very long anyway.

I just hope for your sakes that this year at least, life managed to stay away from your celebrations and that you had fun. Next year will be crap, but enjoy it for as long as you can anyway. And don't make any resolutions. Unless you really don't want to do something. Then you can always promise that you will do it.
